Well today was Corbin's first "Needle Day". We dropped Carter and B off at story hour this morning and off we went to see the health nurse. He handled the needles like a pro. A little crying and some hugs and he was all good. He has had a pretty good day but a pretty sleepy one. Here's hoping for a good sleep tonight!
I was anxious to see what he weighed as he hadn't had this done for a few weeks. He weighed in at 12 lbs 15 oz which put him in the 75th percentile. He was also in the 75th percentile for his height and head circumference. When I got home I pulled out the other two boys immunization charts to see where they were at at two months with their weight. Here's how they line up:
Carter 13 lbs 1/2 oz
Brandon 13 lbs 12 oz
Corbin 12 lbs 15 oz
Following his appointment we went and picked the boys up from the library. They made a cute Easter Craft and Easter Wands.
Cute Memory....or I mean Embarrassing Memory!!
B has this thing that he thinks he needs to say "Abracadabra Douche" instead of something like "Abracadabra Kaboom" or something like that. So I get to the library and he is runny around waving his wand saying "Abracadabra Douche"....just a little embarrassing!!

Tuesday April 12th ~ Bird House
While we were in the hospital with Corbin when he was sick, the older two spent some time with my grandparents (their great grandparents). One project that "Old Grandpa" did with Carter was to build a bird house for the Robins. Carter then painted it at home a couple of weeks ago. Today was the day to hang the bird house as we have been seeing a number of Robins in the yard. Here are a few pictures from that.
B was also busy playing in the backyard while Great Grandpa and Carter were busy with the bird house. As I was taking a picture of them, I could hear "Mom take a picture of me!"

Sunday April 10th - Three Boys
What a great day it was today. The sun was shining, the snow was melting and we BBQ'd for supper! I spent a good majority of the day visiting with good friends, Blair and the older two boys spent most of the day cleaning the garage. I think I just might have got the better end of the deal! We had my parents over for supper and were visiting afterwards when the three boys were "playing" together...meaning the older two talking to their youngest brother!
P.S. Happy 25th Birthday Uncle Kurt!
Saturday April 2 ~ SNOW
Yes, that is correct, it is April 2nd and the snow, I mean lot's of snow, is coming down in large flakes! I'm not sure how much we ended up getting however when we went to brunch at my parents the next morning, we...ok I, got stuck at the end of the driveway! Yes, lot's of snow! So much for spring in the air!
Carter and B did enjoy the snow somewhat. Carter was excited to shovel the driveway again and had it half done before we left for brunch. B was very excited that their was fresh fluffy snow to eat. Both were excited to enjoy a mini snow fight with Uncle Kurt once we arrived at G & G's. Blair and Kurt really enjoyed pushing the van out after I got stuck right guys!!
Lego Man
B's passion for lego amazes me! Just before he turned 3 lego became an interest like no other for him. He will play for hours with his little men and build castles and houses and who knows what else. In fact his lego table remains in our living area and is played with non stop throughout the day. Lately he has been struck on the pirate themed sets. As he looks at the little lego catalogues I will hear "Oh mom, this is so cool...see this...I want that....and this!" I figured it was time to snap a few pics of a couple of his creations. Some of them he has had a little assistance with like the front of the house but other than that, they are all his and his imagination! It's too cute listening and watching him play with them. As you can see by the pictures...I find these creations just about anywhere in the house from under the kitchen table to down the hallway and even hiding under his bed!
Cute Memory!
On our way home from one of our recent trips to the pediatircian, we had to stop so I could nurse Corbin so we stopped in a Walmart parking lot. Mom ran in for a quick browse while I nursed in the car. When she came back she was excited about the bargain she had just found. It was a lego case with a large flat piece for building on. (I have been looking for these for quite some time). She got them for a great price althought I can't remember what that was. When we got home she gave them to the boys. B opened his up and was so disappointed "Grandma but their's no lego men in them". Too cute...he loves the lego men!

8 Weeks Old
On Corbin's "8 Week Birth Day" we had a mini photo shoot to snap some pics. I tried to get all 3 boys into the one photo but it didn't matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get B to participate!!
Time
Wow, I can't believe it's been so long. So much for my new years resolution of documenting our life daily!! I will say the last month and a half has been a bit of a blur. There have been numerous trips to the Dr for baby Corbin and adjusting to our new life as a family of "5".
The start of it all began on baby Corbin's 3 week birth day when he took his first ambulance ride. That evening we went to our local hospital emergency as he was coughing and stuffy and I just had a bad feeling about how he was doing. Well, I was right, his white blood cell count was up and he was having trouble breathing. That meant off we go in the ambulance to a larger hospital and a pediatrician. We were suppose to head to Regina but without any beds available off to Moose Jaw it was. While there he had a couple of chest x-rays, kidney ultrasound, and numerous blood tests and swabs. Turns our he was fighting strep pneumonia and a case of RSV. We spent 8 days there and then home we came. I have to say, the staff at the hospital were amazing and made our stay as enjoyable as a hospital stay can be. From that point it has been follow-up after follow-up. A couple of weeks ago he seemed a little under the weather again so off to the emergency room again, with his white blood cell count up again, off to the pediatrician in Regina. Thankfully it was just a day trip and more follow-up appointments. Needless to say we have been house bound for the last month and a half. I am hoping that this week we will get the "all-clear" and be able to start living life a little fuller and enjoy the outdoors.
Carter and B have handled the chaos like pros. I am very thankful we have such easy going boys that just tend to go with the flow! I am also VERY thankful for my parents. They have been very supportive through all of this and my mom has been amazing and wonderful to talk to about any of my concerns or just to lend an ear to listen or hand to help...Thanks mom!
I am posting a few photos from the last month or so of life around here.
From here on I am going to make a conscious effort to post regularly in order to capture the memories of our life in 2011!
