A little bit of "Green"

Wow is it already Wednesday this week and I haven't posted about our weekend....oops time is slipping away (actually it's just September in general as we try to get back into the groove of both of us working, daycare and of course the many volunteer meetings that come along with all of that!)

We had a great weekend.  On Saturday we checked out the Rider Play it Safe Day or Meet the Riders (not really sure what it is called) at Mosaic Stadium.  Here is a picture of us ready to go....
Upon arriving at the stadium and trying to figure out where to get in this massive lineup, we spotted my husbands sister and her family and conveniently joined them in line!  Once in the stadium, we enjoyed a free hot dog and beverage and the kids received some great loot...then it was onto the field for some autographs (who am I kidding, our kids could have cared less about autographs), it was football time with lot's of "tackles".  All of the kids had an absolute blast running around and checking things out!  So glad we took this event in!  Here are a few pics of the fun ....ok having trouble getting the picture to go in the right spot so they are kinda scattered throughout the post...sorry about that :(

That evening it was pretty low key!  We headed back to my husbands parents where they watched the kids while we snuck in a nap...very much appreciated!  The next day Blair and I took in the Labour Day Classic where the Riders snuck out another win...as ugly as it may have been a W is a W!  This was followed by a very long three hour ride home in pouring rain!  But on the plus side..it was nice to be home!

We enjoyed a very and I mean VERY lazy Sunday at our house!  With dreary weather outside, it was a day of lazy leisure! In the afternoon C went to hang out with Grandpa and work in his shop, B and I had a fairly lengthy nap while Blair worked on the butt groove in the couch!! All in all a great day to end the busy long weekend!

Side note:  We are now one fish down...have to find one next weekend as C's fish is looking pretty lonely!
