Thursday, July 14th - B Bop

B loves climbing all over the couch and usually I catch him using it as a trampoline.  Today when I looked over he was laying on the back watching cartoons. (The picture is out of focus but oh well!!)

Tuesday, July 12th - GREAT Friends

Today was a day of visiting.  Blair headed golfing with good friends Mark and Jeff.  I headed to Weyburn to visit with my cousin and to see their new baby boy for the first time....man Hayden is a little cutie!  Then off to visit Jill and Alexis (who is about a week older than Corbin).  Carter went golfing with his dad and had a GREAT time, B got to stay with Grandma B and really enjoyed his one on one time and of course Corb tagged along with me!

We ended the evening with a great dinner out with good friends Mark and Laura at The Keg.  It was so great to see them and have a wonderful visit! Can't wait to go see them in February!

....thanks grandma and grandpa for babysitting!

Monday, July 11th - Regina Bound & Look at me SIT

Today we headed into the city to do some “vacation” things. First stop was to grab some food then off to Wascana Park for a picnic. I think this is one of the first family pics I have taken using the timer...turned out alright I think.

After the picnic we headed into the Science Centre. The kids had a great time checking out the exhibits and being little explorers! Carla and Guy and the kids joined us there for some fun. Carter loved the hockey exhibit! From there we headed into the IMAX to watch “Born to Be Wild” in 3D. The kids loved it. It was a great movie. Corbin even thought it was pretty neat and watched most of it until near the end. I wish now I would have grabbed a pic of all of us with our stylish glasses on!

We ended a wonderful day with a stop at Carla & Guy’s campsite for supper and of course to roast a couple of marshmallows.

What a GREAT day!! (except for Corb’s hate for travelling at the moment!!) I LOVE summer and vacation...there is a reason why the two words go so well together!)


Corbin is growing so fast! The last couple of days he has started sitting by himself a little without falling over....man where has the time gone!!

Friday, July 8th ~ Rainy Day

As I lay on the couch typing this this afternoon I can hear the rain falling and the thunder rolling.  The oldest two boys are playing in their room and the basement and the tv is off as the satellite signal isn't coming through with the rain.  Blair and Corbin are sitting together looking out the window and all I can hear is Corbin cooing....like he is telling a sweet soft story of his own...then once and a while I can hear a little tap on the window as though he is wondering just what that is.

Oh how the simple things in life are truly the ones most treasured.  Hearing him coo so softly puts a giant smile on my face and makes my heart melt!!

Thursday, July 7th - Rice Cereal it is!!

Today Corbin had cereal for the first time!  He LOVED it!!

Monday, July 4th - The BIG 3-0

Well today I turned 30....yup that's right THIRTY!! I thought that I would be a little apprehensive about the day however I am not at all...not in the least.  I am in a great place in my life right now.

I am married to a wonderful man that is not only my husband and father of our children but my best friend.  I am a mom to three wonderful amazing boys....and may I add, that is the best job in the world.  We have a home and we have tonnes of family and friends that surround us.  Gives me the warm fuzzies! 

The boys had a little campfire party for me tonight.  We were joined by some family and friends for some snack and great visiting.  Thanks boys...LOVE you!  Thanks mom for the delicious chocolate cake and thanks Carter for the parachute firecracker (it was cute to see how excited he was about that!)

Bring on the year of 30...I am ready to take you on and embrace what life has in store for me!  My goal over the next few years is to continue to keep my priorities in check and to not "sweat the small stuff" which I know I do from time to time and continue on my journey of internal reflection of who I am and where I want to go (if that makes sense :))

Saturday, July 2nd - Wedding Bells

We were invited to Janel & Tristan's wedding today (Megan's sister).  It was a beautiful wedding and we enjoyed ourselves very much.  The kids had so much fun dancing up a storm!

Friday, July 1st - CANADA DAY

Today we spent the day taking in the festivities at our local park.  It was a great day!  Carla, Guy and famly and Ray and Judy joined us for the day!

The kids LOVED the fireworks!
